Jake Patterson, Former London Knights Goalie, Dies at 31
Patterson, a Sault Ste. Marie native, is remembered for his talent in goal and his generosity of spirit.
The hockey community is mourning the loss of Jake Patterson, who played key roles in back-to-back OHL championships.
Patterson died suddenly on Oct. 16 at the age of 31! He is survived by his son Luca, stepdaughter Brooklyn, and his wife, Jami.
Patterson developed through local programs including the Sault Ste. Marie North Stars and Soo Greyhounds AAA programs.
He was later selected by the Plymouth Whalers in the seventh round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection, before making his mark with the London Knights.
His skill and composure in goal began to stand out at a young age.
