Warriors' Draymond Green Reportedly Shut Down Trade Talks
The Golden State Warriors champion, Draymond Green, had his reasons for not wanting the team to make the trade for Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen.
Markkanen, a 7-feet tall player who can stretch the floor, would have been an ideal addition to the team. However, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater, Green told Mike Dunleavy and Joe Lacob not to trade for Markkanen due to the cost.
Green played a role in shutting down the trade talks, considering what Golden State would have had to give up.
The Warriors had been interested in trading for Markkanen over the past few years, but no trade ever came to light.
