Deutsche Telekom Promotes Device Recycling
Deutsche Telekom has launched a device recycling initiative, offering prizes to encourage participation. The top prize is 1kg of gold, along with other rewards such as football match tickets and vouchers.
The initiative aims to collect and recycle old mobile phones, with an estimated 195 million units available. Deutsche Telekom also accepts other devices, including modems, routers, and TV receivers.
The company reported that its previous recycling schemes resulted in over 11 million phones being returned by the end of 2024. This new initiative is part of its efforts to build on that success.
Deutsche Telekom is offering rewards to encourage device recycling, going beyond phones to include other devices.
