Man Arrested for Threatening to Shoot Up Atlanta Airport

Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum announced the arrest of Billy Joe Cagle, 49, at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

According to authorities, Cagle's family informed Cartersville police that he was heading to the airport and had threatened to shoot. His family also reported that he had been livestreaming on social media before entering the airport around 9:30 a.m.

Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said he believes Cagle was inside the airport initially to scope it out.
