Honoring Darren McFadden

The Arkansas football team has introduced a No. 5 jersey patch to honor Darren McFadden, a legendary player in the team's history.

Only two numbers have been retired in Arkansas football history: Brandon Burlsworth's 77 and Clyde Scott's 12. McFadden's number is not retired, but it will be displayed on the south end zone videoboard at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

“It's a conversation piece,”

said McFadden, the Doak Walker Award winner and Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2006 and 2007. He was honored on the field during Arkansas' game against Texas A&M.
