Manchester City Treble Winner Admits Regret Over Exit
Former Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has expressed regret over his decision to leave the team on loan in January, stating
"I should have stood by my teammates"during a difficult period for the team.
Walker lost his place in the starting XI in 2024 after a series of poor performances, leading to Pep Guardiola favoring Matheus Nunes on the right side of the defense.
The 35-year-old was appointed Manchester City captain in 2023, following the departure of Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona, and had signed a new deal at the Etihad Stadium after being persuaded by Guardiola to reject an offer from Bayern Munich.
