House Speaker Mike Johnson condemned a leaked group chat where Young Republican officials made jokes about gas chambers, praised Adolf Hitler, and used racist, antisemitic, and homophobic slurs.
Johnson stated, "We roundly condemn it, and anybody in any party who espouses it, we're opposing that."
"Obviously, that is not the principles of the Republican Party. We stand for the founding principles of America,"
JD Vance downplayed the situation, saying the chats reflected that "kids do stupid things."
