Tauranga Sex Trial: Jury Informed of Man's Convictions
A jury has been informed that a man on trial for sexual violation has previous convictions for sexual offending against young women.
The defendant, who cannot be named, is accused of sexually violating a 15-year-old girl in Tauranga when he was 16.
The defendant maintained he did not commit the previous sexual offences for which he was convicted and did not offend against the girl in the current case.
