Why I Still Love Newspapers
I am a week late to this topic, as I was reflecting on my experiences in Iraq 20 years ago with the 48th Brigade Combat Team and a close encounter with an IED.
Last week was National Newspaper Week, a celebration close to my heart. As a columnist, I have the privilege of sharing my thoughts with readers, courtesy of the editors, and receiving feedback.
With nearly three decades in this role, I have formed meaningful connections with regular readers, despite never meeting them in person. You, the readers, have been with me through life's ups and downs, offering constructive criticism and correcting me when necessary.
I have the best job in the world.
