Obituary: William Leroy Franklin
William “Billy” Leroy Franklin, 67, was born on April 17, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, to Leroy and Wilma (Nettles) Franklin.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathy (Romine) Kirkwood, and brother Darrell Romine.
He is survived by his sons Scotty and Rex Franklin, daughter Connie, brothers Donnie Romine and Gerald Romine, and their wives, as well as his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family moved from Michigan to Missouri when Billy was a young boy, and he began working for the family business in his teenage years.
Billy married Margaret Malam in the early 70s, and they had one daughter and one son before the marriage ended in the mid-70s.
He then met Marilyn (Neal) Hartman in the late 70s, and they were together for 13 years, having a son during that time.
