Dudley's deputy mayor, Councillor Mushtaq Hussain, is encouraging people to get their flu jab this winter.
Flu spreads more easily in winter as we spend more time together indoors and sadly this can cause serious illness.
Councillor Hussain received his vaccine at the Well Pharmacy on The Northway in Sedgley and wants to promote the value of the vaccine to others in his age group.
- The flu jab is available to those with certain health conditions
- People aged 65 and over
- Pregnant women
- Individuals in long-stay residential care
Councillor Hussain urges those who are eligible to get vaccinated, as the flu vaccine is an important free service offered to thousands of people across the borough every year.
