A collaboration agreement has been signed between Hawaii and Japan's largest power generation company, JERA Co. Inc., to help Hawaii achieve its clean energy and decarbonization goals.
The agreement was signed on October 6 by Josh Green and JERA Co. Inc. during a week-long trip to Japan.
JERA has committed to eliminating carbon dioxide emissions from its domestic and international operations by 2050 through the use of renewable energy, greener fuels, and zero-emission thermal power.
