Galway Author Secures UK Publisher
Ciara Broderick's debut novel, 'Catfish', has been bought by a UK publisher. The novel tells the story of a young Irish woman who lies about her real identity to men online.
Broderick's work bears similarities to a true-crime podcast series by the 2 Johnnies, which features a woman who deceived over 30 men online. However, the 26-year-old author claims to have "distanced it from any real situations so nobody feels targeted".
The main character in the book is the same age as me and comes from a similar place.
