Cooper was only four days into shooting when Springsteen visited the set in New Jersey. Despite the pressure of making a film about a cultural icon, Cooper notes that Springsteen was never directive.

As Cooper tells MOJO, "any time you're making a film about a cultural icon and someone who's as legendary as Bruce, there's always trepidation, right?"
