Investigators Solve 41-Year-Old Murder Case of Nassau Teen
Theresa Fusco, 16, was found dead near a Lynbrook roller rink in 1984. After nearly four decades, Nassau County authorities have cracked the case.
Three men previously convicted of the crime spent almost 20 years in prison before being cleared by DNA evidence in 2003.
A new DNA match from a discarded smoothie cup led investigators to the alleged killer, Richard Bilodeau, 63, of Center Moriches.
- Bilodeau was arraigned on two charges of murder in the second degree.
- Charges include intentional murder and murder committed during the course of rape.
Bilodeau pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to prosecutors.
