Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Fentanyl Possession
A 34-year-old man from the Hamptons has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for possessing approximately two kilograms of fentanyl.
The fentanyl, with an estimated street value of $80,000, was transported from Suffolk County into Hollis in November 2022, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
- Dennis Carrol, of Evergreen Road in Flanders, was convicted by a jury in Queens Supreme Court on March 24.
- He was found guilty of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
This sentence follows a four-week trial.
