Roberts Bakery Jobs Saved Through Rescue Deal
A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has saved over 400 jobs at Roberts Bakery.
The investment, made for an undisclosed fee, has created a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan.
The deal safeguards 433 jobs across two sites and comes after the company filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators just over a week prior.
The new company references the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
The company produces bread under the Roberts Bakery brand, as well as specialty bread and sweet treats for supermarkets and coffee shops.
