Robert Irwin's Emotional Dance Dedication to Mom Terri
Robert Irwin, a 21-year-old wildlife conservationist, broke down after his "Dancing with the Stars" performance, which was dedicated to his mom, Terri Irwin, and all mothers experiencing grief after loss.
"A weight lifted"
Backstage, Robert explained that the dance was also a way to process his grief over the loss of his late father, Steve Irwin. The emotional contemporary dance ended with Terri joining her son, leaving the audience and judges in tears.

Robert told entertainment reporter Courtney Tezeno:
"It was really hard to express that and really hard to actually get through a dance while internally you’re processing and getting all of these emotions out there"
