New path at Cotswold Lakes to improve accessibility

New Path at Cotswold Lakes Improves Accessibility

A new 1.2-kilometre circular accessible path has been opened in the Cotswold Lakes, linking the trail along Lake 6 with the Thames and Severn Canal.

The project was a collaboration between Cotswold Lakes Trust, Cotswold Canals Trust, and De Vere Cotswold Water Park, with additional funding from Cotswolds National Landscape.

The path is designed to empower wheelchair users, families with buggies, and those who need level terrain to enjoy the wetland landscape. Facilities include free parking, toilets, and a visitor information centre.

Dan Kelly, general manager at De Vere Cotswold Water Park, said: "Lake 6 is an integral part of our hotel’s beautiful surroundings and we are proud that this new accessible route adds to our existing inclusive facilities."
