The Starmer Regime's Protest Laws – An Attack on Democracy
Democracy is endangered by the clampdown on the right to protest, with the British government being prominent among those eager to restrict this right, particularly in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Michael O'Flaherty, Council of Europe commissioner for human rights, has expressed concerns over Britain's protest laws after the banning of direct action group Palestine Action.
Domestic legislation designed to counter 'terrorism' or 'violent extremism' must not impose any limitations on fundamental rights and freedoms, including the right to freedom of peaceful assembly, that are not strictly necessary for the protection of national security and the rights and freedoms of others.
