Charges Laid in Death of Winnipeg Man in Eastern Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan RCMP have charged a 51-year-old man in connection with the death of a Winnipeg man.

On October 7, officers responded to a report of a dead body outside a home along Victoria Avenue in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, approximately 188 km northeast of Regina.

The victim, identified as Curtis Gilman Bourassa from Winnipeg, was found dead. His death was considered suspicious, and the RCMP homicide unit took over the investigation.

Following the investigation, 51-year-old Henry Wayne Chartrand was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder in connection to Bourassa's death.
