Coco Gauff Wins 2025 Wuhan Open
US tennis star Coco Gauff defeated fellow American Jessica Pegula to win the 2025 Wuhan Open on Sunday.
Gauff secured her 11th career WTA title, beating Pegula 6-4, 7-5, and became the first US player to win the Wuhan Open since Venus Williams in 2015.
With this victory, Gauff holds a perfect 9-0 record in hardcourt tournament finals and claims her second title of the year, following her French Open win in June.
Winning every match in straight sets, I don't know if I've done that before on a title run.
Gauff achieved this without needing a single third set throughout her five-match run in Wuhan.
