Blazers have a painfully obvious roster problem they can no longer ignore

Portland Trail Blazers' Roster Problem

The Portland Trail Blazers have a significant flaw in their roster construction, threatening the success of their rebuild.

Despite winning their home opener 124-123 against the Sacramento Kings, the team's poor three-point shooting is a concern. They shot 10-of-37 (27.0%) from beyond the arc, and 16-of-48 (33.3%) in their loss to the Golden State Warriors.

For comparison, the Blazers shot 34.2% last season, ranking fifth-worst in the NBA, and 34.5% the year prior, which was dead last.

The preseason has shown that the Blazers have managed to get worse in a key area where they were already horrible.

This decline is not surprising, given Portland's offseason moves.

Author's summary: Blazers struggle with three-point shooting.
