Emilee Garcia Named 2025 Pérez Excellence Award Recipient
Emilee Garcia, a recent Honors College graduate and FIU Law student, has been awarded the 2025 Jorge and Darlene Pérez Excellence Award, which includes a $10,000 scholarship.
The award recognizes graduating students who excel academically and demonstrate leadership and service in making a difference in South Florida.
Garcia, who earned a BA in political science and certificates in marketing, social media, and Latin American and Caribbean studies, plans to use the scholarship to fund her legal education at FIU College of Law.
The award provides graduating Honors College students with financial resources to pursue advanced studies and community impact initiatives.
