Morgan Sindall and Others Win $3.9bn Contracts at Sellafield
Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Costain, and HOCHTIEF (UK) have been awarded contracts valued at up to £2.9bn ($3.9bn) to carry out non-nuclear infrastructure works at the Sellafield site in England.
The contracts, set for an initial period of nine years, can be extended by six more years, potentially lasting until 2040. The scope of work includes:
- detailed design
- procurement
- installation
- construction
- commissioning
- handover processes
Specific areas of focus include electricity distribution, water supply, road and rail networks, bridges, foundations, and security systems. Morgan Sindall will serve as the electrical distribution partner.
