McNamara | ‘I wanted to see determination to score more goals’

McNamara's Verdict on Wolves Women's FAWNL Cup Win

Although pleased with the overall performance from his Wolves Women side in their FAWNL Cup win over Sporting Khalsa, Dan McNamara felt his players could have done more in front of goal.

Against their local rivals, McNamara described his team’s performance on Sunday as ‘routine’, but that didn’t stop Wolves from coming away from Willenhall with a 5-0 victory.

It was a fairly routine performance from the girls.

However, the head coach wanted his side to display greater quality in attack and add more than the five they were able to score.

With the first round win, Wolves booked their place in the last 16 of the competition and will now look to progress into the next round of the Birmingham Challenge Cup in their second of three consecutive cup matches this Sunday away at Hednesford Town.

Author's summary: Wolves Women won 5-0 against Sporting Khalsa.
