Pedestrian dead after being struck by school bus on State Road 43 in Tippecanoe County
A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a school bus on State Road 43, just south of county road 600 North in Tippecanoe County.
The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near the Speedway and Phillips 66 gas stations, according to troopers from the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post.
- The pedestrian was struck while crossing State Road 43 by a school bus traveling northbound in the left lane.
- The pedestrian was pronounced dead by the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office.
- No students were on the Tippecanoe School bus at the time of the crash.
- No other injuries have been reported.
Investigation into the crash remains active and ongoing by the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team.
