Peoria Police arrested three teenagers for weapons offenses related to a shooting in South Peoria on Sunday that critically wounded a 22-year-old man.
A police spokesperson reported that officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating 15 shots were fired in the 2300 block of West Antoinette at approximately 1:25 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Several juveniles were seen running into a home on West Antoinette, and after obtaining a search warrant, investigators took three teens into custody and found multiple guns in the house, including a stolen gun.
No additional statements were made by the authorities.
