An awareness walk will take place on Wednesday along Ludington Street in Escanaba to commemorate White Cane Safety Day and raise awareness about the visually impaired in the community.
The walk aims to draw attention to the unique travel difficulties of people with visual impairments in the community. All are welcome to join the walk, with the option to complete the route with or without a blindfold.
The walk is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at the Ludington Grill, 1110 Ludington St., weather permitting.
