Vallarta Supermarkets to Expand into Arizona
Southern California-based Vallarta Supermarkets is set to open its first store in Arizona, specifically in Glendale, in early 2026.
Headquartered in Santa Clarita, California, Vallarta has been operating for 40 years, primarily serving California's Latino customer base with over 70 stores in the state.
"We came to make a presence here, not for just one store,"
Cesar Gonzalez, Vallarta's chief operating officer, stated that the company plans to open 10 to 15 stores in the next five to 10 years as part of an aggressive growth strategy in the Valley.
Construction on the first Arizona location has already begun.
