Oman has launched a National Risk Register to enhance community preparedness, resilience, and disaster risk awareness.
In Muscat, a community version of the National Risk Register was introduced to inform citizens and residents about potential threats, including natural hazards, health emergencies, technological, and environmental challenges.
The initiative aims to outline the collective role of the government and society in mitigating these risks, promoting national resilience and community awareness.
The launch ceremony was held under the patronage of H E Dr Hilal bin Ali al Sabti, Minister of Health, at the Royal Academy of Management in Muscat.
The National Risk Register seeks to familiarise citizens and residents with the various risks that could impact the sultanate.
