According to a GoFundMe campaign created to support her medical expenses, Kirkland suffered multiple fractures, including four bones in her neck, right wrist, and left hip. During her recovery, she also faced two life-threatening infections.

Greene shared he is currently traveling from JFK Airport to be with Kirkland, emphasizing his commitment:

The combination of Kirkland's injuries and infections has required prolonged hospitalizations and rehabilitation, extending beyond what her insurance covers.
