For safety Jake Jarmolowich, the game plan remains consistent each week, regardless of the opponent. He believes mastering the fundamentals is key to covering all scenarios. He’s aware that UNLV will challenge Colorado State significantly this Saturday.
“I think it's like any other week, to be honest. I've said it a lot, it's going back to our 1/11s -- if everyone does their jobs and we contain this quarterback and we do what we're supposed to do, we're gonna be just fine.”
He emphasizes the importance of discipline on defense, noting that any lapse could lead to missed gaps or incorrect positioning, especially given the threat posed by UNLV’s quarterback.
“I think any game, any opponent, you have to be as disciplined as possible. If you're not, you're gonna overset a gap, you're gonna go over the top and you're supposed to be the inside or wherever it might be. I think with the quarterback, it's just a little thing in the back of your head you've got to keep in mind.”
Colorado State prepares to face a formidable UNLV offense known for its scoring consistency and strong rushing attack.
