Bruins’ Nikita Zadorov lives up to his own rules, fights Maple Leafs’ forward

Bruins’ Nikita Zadorov Stands by His Rules in Fight with Maple Leafs Forward

Nikita Zadorov's hit on Scott Laughton sparked a fight in Toronto. The Bruins defenseman is known for enforcing his own unwritten rules, which he previously upheld against Buffalo.

Zadorov took issue when Jordan Greenway declined to fight him after a hit from the Sabres player injured Elias Lindholm. Later, Zadorov delivered a second-period check that knocked Maple Leafs veteran Scott Laughton off his feet and out of the game.

Fight with Bobby McMann

Shortly after the hit on Laughton, Bobby McMann challenged Zadorov to a fight. The two engaged in wrestling and tugging during the brawl. Although McMann is about five inches shorter and has less reach, he landed a few glancing right hands to the back of Zadorov’s helmet.

Zadorov connected on a couple of short-armed uppercuts.

Despite the intensity, neither player was seriously hurt as they both went to the penalty box for five minutes.

Summary

Nikita Zadorov continues to enforce his personal code on the ice, standing firm in physical confrontations and defending his teammates.
