Embark Studios has achieved a strong launch for their new multiplayer extraction shooter, Arc Raiders, reportedly selling 1.6 million copies within the first three days. This milestone came shortly after the game hit a peak concurrent player count of 354,836.
According to data from the Steam analytics site Gamalytic, Arc Raiders generated approximately US$61.1 million in revenue from those sales. These figures account for PC sales and the total across all platforms, including consoles, is expected to be significantly higher.
The launch was not without challenges. When player numbers exceeded 300,000 concurrently, issues with matchmaking and logging in quickly arose. The servers even went offline for several hours, causing interruptions until Embark Studios deployed fixes.
“The servers on Sunday had a wobble,” the developers wrote on X, humorously adding, “Scrappy must’ve pecked a few wires loose.”
To thank players and apologize for the disruption, Embark Studios awarded 500 Raider Tokens to everyone who logged in during the launch weekend.
“As a token of our thanks, we’re sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday (2 November).”
Despite early technical difficulties, Arc Raiders has made an impressive impact, combining strong sales and active player engagement in its initial days.
