Arc Raiders has reportedly sold over 2.5 million copies, according to industry analyst Rhy Elliott from Alinea Analytics. The data suggests that the game has generated more than $100 million in revenue for its developer, Embark Studios.
Alinea Analytics indicates that the majority of Arc Raiders players are on Steam, accounting for approximately 69.2% of the total playerbase. Meanwhile, 17.3% play on PlayStation, and 13.5% are on Xbox, based on the data collected by Elliott's team.
“ARC Raiders is great because it focuses on community - NOT because it's an extraction shooter.”
According to Elliott’s blog post, the game’s emphasis on community has been a key factor in its success, distinguishing it from other extraction shooters that have not reached similar sales or player counts. Arc Raiders also benefits from crossover players familiar with other cooperative games.
“Our crossover estimates show that about half of ARC Raiders players on Steam have also played Phasmophobia, Lethal Company, and Helldivers 2, respectively. And over 40% have played R.E.P.O, Valheim, PEAK, and Dead by Daylight.”
This overlap suggests a strong community influence and engagement shared across these cooperative titles.
Summary: Arc Raiders’ remarkable sales success is credited largely to its strong community focus and player crossover with popular cooperative games, according to industry data analysis.
