Booker barely misses his 1st regular-season triple-double, still leads Suns past Clippers 114-103

Booker Leads Suns Past Clippers 114–103

Devin Booker delivered another strong performance with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists as the Phoenix Suns edged the Los Angeles Clippers 114–103 on Saturday, securing their second win over the team in three days.

Mark Williams contributed 19 points for Phoenix, which has now won four of its last five games. The Suns maintained control in the final quarter, and Booker's three-point play with 2:59 remaining helped protect their lead after the Clippers closed the gap to five points.

Booker narrowly missed achieving his first regular-season triple-double in his 11-year, 683-game career, coming up one assist short. His only triple-double remains from Game 1 of the 2021 Western Conference Finals, also against the Clippers.

Ivica Zubac had 21 points and 15 rebounds, while John Collins added 19 for the short-handed Clippers. James Harden finished with 13 points and 13 assists but made only two of ten three-point attempts.

Earlier in the week, the Suns defeated the Clippers 115–102 in Phoenix. The teams have already faced off three times this season, with Phoenix holding a 2–1 series lead. Jalen Green exited late in the first quarter after appearing to re-injure the right hamstring that sidelined him for the Suns’ first eight games.

Author’s Summary

Booker guided Phoenix to another win over the Clippers with a near triple-double, keeping the Suns on a strong momentum stretch despite late pressure from Los Angeles.
