Deadly Shootings in Mississippi
Mississippi communities are mourning after a violent weekend that left at least eight people dead in three separate shootings.
Authorities are investigating the shootings, which occurred in three towns, including the small town of Leland, where chaos erupted Friday night after a homecoming football game.
Six people were killed in a shooting on Main Street as crowds were leaving post-game celebrations. The victims ranged in age from 18 to 41.
People who were enjoying themselves last night found themselves faced with violence that no community should be faced with.
The suspect remains at large, and investigators are continuing to search for the gunman. Leland's mayor has pleaded with residents to come forward with information.
