Northbound lanes of Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood reopened Friday morning after being closed for several hours due to a fatal collision.
According to Lakewood police, a driver struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Wadsworth Boulevard and West Eastman Place. The incident occurred early in the morning, prompting an immediate road closure and investigation.
At 7:47 a.m., Lakewood police reported on social media that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian near the intersection, located just north of the U.S. highway.
Traffic resumed shortly after 10 a.m. when authorities cleared the scene and reopened all affected lanes to the public.
