Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 594, located at 5030 Howard Avenue, remains dedicated to supporting Veterans, youth, and first responders. From the last Friday in October through Remembrance Day, millions of Canadians wear a red Poppy as a symbol of remembrance and commitment.

"Millions of Canadians wear a Poppy as a visual pledge to never forget those who served and sacrificed."

The Poppy Campaign raises funds to assist Veterans and their families in need. Donation boxes are available throughout the community to support this annual effort.

LaSalle Cenotaph Park

Located behind the LaSalle Civic Centre, LaSalle Cenotaph Park was built in 2014 and serves as the site for the Remembrance Day ceremony.

Author’s summary: LaSalle honours Veterans annually with a Remembrance Day ceremony streamed online, supported by community involvement and the Legion’s Poppy Campaign to remember and assist those who served.
