On a midweek afternoon in SoHo, a crowd of paparazzi, tourists, and local shoppers gathered near the soon-to-open Longines boutique. The reason for the excitement became clear when someone exclaimed, “Jennifer Lawrence is in there!”
Inside, the actor sat comfortably in an accent chair, exuding her trademark mix of movie-star charisma and natural ease. She wore a brown sweater paired with a matching cardigan draped over her shoulders and a short black skirt with a folded-over design.
“It’s a sweater over a sweater,” she said, lifting the hem slightly to show the layered look.
The outfit, designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row, reflected Lawrence’s effortless sense of style. She was there to help launch the boutique and introduce Longines’s newest model.
“The PrimaLuna,” she said, extending her arm to display it. “I don’t usually call watches by their government names, but it’s elegant. I’ve only recently started wearing watches as jewelry, and I think this one is a beautiful piece.”
The PrimaLuna marks the relaunch of a classic moonphase design from the 193-year-old Swiss brand Longines.
