Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

On Remembrance Sunday, 9 November 2025, several temporary bus route changes will take place across the county due to local parades and road closures. Some routes may experience brief delays as services adjust to the events.

Two-Minute Silence

At 11am on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th, bus drivers will observe the two minutes’ silence. When safe, they will park their buses, turn off engines, and take part in national remembrance.

The company also encourages passengers to join in this moment of reflection.

Free Travel for Serving Personnel and Veterans

From 8 to 11 November 2025, NCT offers free travel to all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. Passengers can show ID or wear their uniform when boarding to qualify.

Road Closures and Diversions

Arnold and Daybrook Area

Nottingham Road, Church Drive and Sir John Robinson Way will be closed between 09:00 and 12:00. During this period:

Calverton

A parade in Calverton on Sunday 9 November will affect the Sky Blue 61 route from 09:00 to 12:00.

East Leake

Main Street in East Leake will be closed from 10:30 to 11:45. The South Notts 1 service will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.
