Oasis fans complain of long lines into Accor Stadium as gig starts

Oasis fans face long queues at Sydney concert

Oasis fans reported extremely long lines outside Accor Stadium in Sydney before the band’s first sold-out show, with some saying they missed the opening songs as a result.

“You would be seething if you were stuck in line as Oasis came out onto the stage.”

Heavy crowds and traffic chaos

Footage from outside the Homebush venue showed massive crowds and queues stretching hundreds of metres. Early arrivals and intense congestion created severe traffic issues across several of Sydney’s busiest roads.

“Security are probably checking for flares!”
“Queue management is just royally f**ked.”
“Few people missing out on first song!”

Travel advice from authorities

Transport for NSW advised attendees to use public transport, noting that travel was free with a concert ticket. With Oasis performing only in Sydney and Melbourne on their Australian tour, many fans travelled locally and interstate for the event.

“Oasis fans have waited a long time for this sold-out reunion tour. Fans travelling locally and interstate are encouraged to plan their trip and consider the many public transport options available to get to and from Olympic Park each night,” said Transport for NSW Coordinator-General Howard Collins.

Summary

Massive queues delayed entry to Oasis’s Sydney show, frustrating fans who missed songs, while authorities urged public transport use amid heavy congestion.
