Trump, World Leaders To Gather In Egypt For Gaza Peace Summit
A high-profile Gaza peace summit opened on Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, with over 20 world leaders attending to push forward a ceasefire and regional stability plan.
The meeting, co-hosted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and US President Donald Trump, aims
“to end the war in Gaza, enhance peace efforts, and ensure long-term stability in the Middle East.”
Talks will focus on implementing the next phase of Trump’s 20-point peace plan, including governance in post-war Gaza and the fate of Hamas. Before departing for Egypt, Trump expressed confidence in the ceasefire reached last week, stating
“The war is over”.
Notably, Israel and Iran are not attending the summit.
