Alan Carr, known for his role on Celebrity Traitors and his sitcom Changing Ends on ITV, has been recruited by the BBC for a fresh format. The comedian is gaining even more visibility following his popular turn as a Traitor on the BBC One game show Celebrity Traitors.
At 49, Alan Carr is reportedly filming abroad for a new prime-time quiz show featuring celebrity guests, according to The Sun. This opportunity follows speculation about a new TV deal for the comedian, eight years after his Channel 4 chat show, Chatty Man, ended.
The move could position Alan in direct competition with Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his contract to continue hosting The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
"Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
Alan Carr's swift transition to a BBC quiz show highlights his rising prominence and ongoing appeal across major UK broadcasters.
