Remembrance Day Parade Returns to Fort St. John

The city of Fort St. John will host its annual Remembrance Day parade and ceremony on Tuesday, November 11th, honoring fallen Canadian soldiers and recognizing the contributions of veterans and active service members.

Parade Route and Schedule

The parade, organized by the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, will start at 10:40 a.m. outside the School District 60 office on 102nd Street. The procession will travel along 105th Avenue, pass by the legion building, continue to City Hall, and finally return to the cenotaph for an outdoor ceremony.

Events and Activities

Afterward, guests are invited to the legion hall for community activities and entertainment. According to the City of Fort St. John’s website, the program includes horse races, a turkey shoot, and dinner. Attendance is free, and no pre-registration is required.

Road Closures

“Road closures will be in effect along the parade route and near the legion building from 9:30 a.m. to noon on the 11th, with no vehicle access whatsoever.”
