Bruins Hold On In Overtime Against Ottawa For Fifth Straight Win
BOSTON — Just 10 days after a crushing 7-2 defeat to the Ottawa Senators, the Boston Bruins faced them again on Thursday at TD Garden. This time, the Bruins showed a stronger side, winning 3-2 in overtime and securing their fifth consecutive victory.
“It was big motivation for us,” said Pavel Zacha. “We lost a game there and lost pretty badly. Before the game, we were motivated to give it back, and I’m happy that we won.”
Zacha scored the winning goal for Boston with only 5.6 seconds remaining in overtime. After Charlie McAvoy controlled the puck in the attacking zone for what seemed like an eternity, he took a shot that Zacha redirected into the net for his fourth goal of the season.

The Bruins had taken a 2-1 lead with less than 10 minutes remaining in the third period.
