What Charlie Kirk's 3-Year-Old Daughter Said When Told 'Daddy Is In Heaven'

After the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, his wife Erika has spoken publicly about how she and their children are coping. Charlie was assassinated during an event at Utah University nearly two months ago.

In an emotional interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Erika described the difficult process of helping her three-year-old daughter and one-year-old son understand that their father is gone. She shared that she initially told the children that their dad had gone on “a work trip with Jesus.”

"Are they still asking, 'Where is daddy?'" asked Watters.

"Yes, my daughter continues to ask," Erika replied. "But it’s very sweet, because I keep explaining a few things. I tell her, if you ever want to talk to Daddy, look up to the sky and start talking to him. He can hear you."

Fighting back tears, Erika recalled her daughter’s tender reply after being told her father is in heaven.

"She said, 'You think I could go sometime?' And I told her, 'Baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day.'"
